Clients without 100% coverage for their direct billed service will need to pay the balance outstanding at the time of service.
Physician Prescription: You do not need a prescription or referral from your doctor to see a Psychologist. In certain situations, you may need one to obtain reimbursement from your health insurance policy. It is always best to check your extended health benefits plan first.
Tax Deductions: All fees incurred from an assessment or counselling session with a psychologist are a medical expenses that can be deducted from your taxable income. You can claim the actual cost of your therapy session less any amount paid by insurance/benefit plans.
